Tea garden Party - end of the years video blog

Merry christmas and Happy New Year!

I hope your holidays are going by calmly and with lots of good food on the table.

Although I don't have a lot of money or fame, I wanted to make this special gift for the people who have been interviewed for your favorite blog: an animated video!

Animation is a big word, as there aren't any complex movements like in a cartoon ... but those little gestures needed a lot of attention and that's also why I haven't published any articles in the last month.

The story behind the making of this video is simple.

First of all, why did I want to embark on a project where I have no skills?

Towards the end of November I was pondering who I could interview for the month of December, being undecided about some candidates. At one point I said to myself: "what if I prepare something different instead?"

The idea of doing an animation had been running around in my head for some time, but having no basic notion I didn't know where to start and I was scared of the amount of work it would require. In the end, however, I decided to give it a try and I threw myself into it.

First of all I did some experiments and research, to understand how the animation of a character works, after some uncertainty I was able to understand the process and the rest came by itself, even for the most complex gestures. Photoshop has been useful and helpful, much more than those professional animation programs found around the internet.

I'll tell you, it was tiring ... but also a lot of fun.

Unlike many of my works, I created these scenes directly on tablet and this increased the hours of work to complete them. Fortunately, some elements such as the background and the table were saved separately, so I was able to add them from time to time without having to recreate them from scratch.

For each scene there is a different flower in the background because I wanted to differentiate it for each character, so as to stand out more.

In the end, just at Christmas, I managed to finish the project.

The best part?

See the reactions of the people for whom it was dedicated, their joyful writings and thanks. Never had a greater satisfaction, certainly one of the most beautiful Christmas gifts.

Therefore, given how successful this idea was, I decided that I will propose it again at the end of the year, as a blog tradition.

I do not know in the future how much this thing will go on, but as long as the passion for this blog remains alive, I will work on it and I will boast about it.
